Social Media Case Study

The Challenge:

The Solution:

Barton Associates, a national leader in the Healthcare Staffing (locum tenens) industry, realized the importance of building a Careers brand to keep up with their talent acquisition needs. As their social media and content intern, I was asked to build a cohesive brand across all social platforms for their Careers media and create a social media calendar that would get the word out about Barton to job seekers, communicate the benefits of working at Barton, and attract more applicants to the website. 
After running media analysis of Barton's main competitors and discussing target audience with the Director of Talent Acquisition, I produced a comprehensive social strategy for Barton Associates Careers. This strategy included the creation of an Instagram (to help Barton reach its key audience of college-aged students), a careers blog (to fuel SEO for the careers site as well as cultivate a conversation with these students), a content calendar for Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook to keep followers engaged, and new promotional materials for career fairs.

To give potential applicants an inside look at what a career at Barton could be, I came up with Employee Spotlights, Virtual Office Tours, Career Tip Tuesday, and more to keep the content calendar fun and informational.

The Virtual Office Tours:

I edited footage from some of our offices across the country for the Barton Associates Careers YouTube Channel.

The Blog:

To drive more traffic to Barton Careers' website and start a conversation with potential job seekers, I created a blog which was updated weekly with different articles I wrote on career tips, sales tips, and more.

The Promotional Materials:

Barton's materials for career fairs were in need of an update so I worked with the in-house graphic designer to come up with new banners, flyers, and ads.

The content calendar I created was so well-received by Barton's audience that it is still in use today by their current interns and the blog I created is still updated regularly.
